Warranty Policy
TP-Link UK (referred to as ‘we’, ‘our’, or ‘us’) is committed to providing high-quality products and support services.
This warranty policy outlines the terms under which TP-Link UK provides warranty services for its products (Tapo, Kasa, Deco, Archer) sold in the United Kingdom.
Warranty Coverage
1. Unless stated otherwise in this policy, TP-Link UK offers warranty service for products originally purchased from authorised retailers.
2. Any product purchased from unauthorised parties including but not limited to individuals or retailers are not entitled to receive TP-Link UK warranty service.
Eligibility
1. TP-Link UK is not responsible for International Warranty Service. The warranty service is only valid for all eligible TP-Link products which are (i) purchased from TP-Link UK or its authorised retailers and (ii) used in the United Kingdom.
2. Any other additional warranty service agreed during purchase shall only be effective based on the contract signed by TP-Link UK.
Warranty Period
We offer a warranty period for each type of product. The standard warranty period starts from the purchase date of your original product no matter how many replacements are made during the warranty period.
What is Covered
The warranty covers the main device, antenna and external power supply for any material or workmanship defects.
What is Not Covered
1. The damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorised modifications and cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, dents or anything equivalent).
2. The defect arises because the customer failed to follow our oral or written instructions for the storage, installation, use or maintenance of the products;
3. The customer alters or repairs those products without the written consent of us;
4. The defect arises as a result of fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, or abnormal storage or working conditions.
5. Packaging, various cables, software products, technical data and other accessories (if any).
Replacement Policy
1. TP-Link UK will replace any defective product which shall be under the investigations of TP-Link UK with the same model subject to any device available at the time.
2. TP-Link UK reserves the right to provide a replacement with equivalent features (not equivalent value) if the original model is discontinued or out of stock.
3. TP-Link UK is unable to offer product upgrades or substitute different models outside the scope of equivalent replacements under this policy.
Repair Policy
TP-Link UK provide the warranty repair service for smart Robot Vacuums includes:
1. Diagnosis of the hardware issue
2. Replacement of faulty components
3. Functional testing to confirm successful repair
Any issue unrelated to product functionality is not covered under repair service including but not limited to cosmetic cleaning or restoration of appearance.
Refund and Return Postage Policy
TP-Link UK is unable to provide refunds or reimburse return postage costs for faulty, defective, damaged or any equivalent products that were not purchased directly from us. For all such inquiries, please contact the original reseller or others from whom the product was purchased.
Warranty Service Process
1. Contact our Product Support with proof of purchase, serial number, and product details.
2. We may request diagnostic steps to be performed.
3. We will provide repair or replacement service in the case that the product is deemed defective according to our investigation criteria.
4. Customers are recommended to contact the original reseller for a replacement or refund if the product is still within the reseller’s warranty period.
PLEASE RETAIN THE INVOICE OR RECEIPT to verify the purchase for any warranty claim. TP-Link UK may decline to offer warranty service if the effective invoice or receipt is failed to be produced.
Replacement Dispatch Time
Standard Shipping Service: Replacements are normally dispatched within 2 to 3 working days after receiving the return or payment, unless the replacement model is out of stock or during periods of high service demand.
Limitations of Liability
1.The maximum liability of TP-Link UK under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product excluding VAT.
2. Unless otherwise required by law, TP-Link UK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the product.
Warranty Exemptions
Conditions disqualifying a product from Warranty include but are not limited to the following:
- Any defect caused by misuse, improper installation or maintenance that is not required by TP-Link UK Ltd destruction;
- Any defect caused by software, virus or improper use of self-made and non-public software;
- Any product beyond the limited free replacement and repair period;
- Any unauthorised obliteration or damage to the product barcode;
- Any discrepancy between the product type and barcode or warranty card;
- Any unauthorised modification to the supporting setting files, or any authorized disassembly and repair;
- Any defect caused by improper use in the working conditions beyond those stated in the literature (for example: working conditions that are too hot/cold, wet/dry; high sea-level; instable electric current and voltage and so on)
- Any defect caused by personal disaster or improper maintenance, such as mechanical damage, serious oxidation and rusting, rat damage, over exertion and so on;
- Any defect caused by transportation or loading during returning voyage;
- Any natural disaster such as earthquake, fire, flood, thunder strike and so on;
- Any other defects that are not caused by workmanship, technique, product quality and the like;
Conditions that Disqualify Product from Warranty in the external power supply include:
- The returned power supply has obvious damage, fissure, broken legs, severe deformation;
- The returned power cord is broken, has naked core and damages like this.
Warranty Period
From 18th Jan. 2021, TP-LINK UK official launched the TP-Link Registration & Warranty System, all customers will be required to register product when you claim warranty service. For more information about this system, please kindly check here: “Introduction of Registration & Warranty System”

Note:
*All smart home products which are produced after Sep.2019 is entitled for 2 years warranty.
*2 Years warranty for Robot Vacuums excludes wear and tear items that require regular replacement and maintenance.

APPENDIX
1. TP-Link UK shall not be held liable for any warranty service made by the distributor or retailer which is beyond this warranty policy. Please obtain documents during purchase in order to be honoured by the distributor or retailer. We reserve the right to identify and assess our ongoing relationship with retailers and execute the warranty terms in accordance with the agreement with such retailers.
2. Any direct or indirect damage that prohibited the product to function as designed, TP-Link UK shall only be liable for the duties stipulated by the law in the England and Wales.
3. Unless otherwise required by laws and regulations, TP-Link UK shall neither, on any account, respond to any loss caused by damages such as improper use of applications and configurations, nor respond to any accusation put forward by a third party.
4. Since Britain exits the EU, recipients in Ireland may be required to pay customs duties (taxes).
This policy is subject to amendment at our sole discretion from time to time and applies exclusively to customers purchased products through TP-Link UK and authorised retailers.
